Jammin’ Pie Fest

Coming Fall 2022!
WRIM’s 7th Jammin’ Pie Fest

Jammin’ Pie Fest is an annual public event celebrating people living with disabilities and creating a community of belonging for their families.

October 2nd, 2022
1:30 to 4:30 PM

Jammin’ Pie Fest is a Minnesota-area smash hit!

Music and pie lovers gather in a park-like back yard setting every fall to eat, dance, relax, share encouragement and experience a live show. The public event is organized by Walk Right In Ministries in collaboration with the Jamieson family, great neighbors, fun-loving volunteers, donors and other generous sponsors. All are committed to creating an afternoon that celebrates and fosters inclusive community.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket, a bunch of friends and the whole family! The back yard includes wheelchair access and a handicap accessible ADA-compliant portable restroom. We especially want to encourage special needs families and caregivers of all generations to join us.

Featuring LIVE music, FREE pie tastings, and FREE Caribou coffee!

JPF2022 welcomes FAREWELL MILWAUKEE to the stage!
Mainstays of the Minneapolis music scene since 2008, Farewell Milwaukee embraces the role that their Midwestern towns have played in shaping them artistically, garnering them fans through their authentic lyrics, lush vocal harmonies, and honest sincerity at live shows. It is because of this, that they have gathered accolades from local and national press, landed song placements on major network TV, opened for the Lumineers, Amos Lee, & Ben Rector among others, and are featured on compilations alongside Mumford & Sons, Adele.

“There are few places where we as a family who have children with disabilities can go and really relax and enjoy a large event. When we walked up to the entrance of the Jammin’ Pie Fest, we knew this event was just what our family needed. A welcoming environment for every member of our family.”

Jammin’ Pie Fest is back — and we’re more excited and appreciative than ever!

What is the dream of Jammin’ Pie Fest?

Walk Right In Ministries celebrates and fosters communities of belonging for people of all abilities.

Friendships and community are so important when you are part of a special-needs family. Yet isolation is a common dilemma. Daily cares keep caregivers at home, problematic behaviors limit participation in church, social connections can become strained and participating in public events can present challenges. Walk Right In Ministries hosts the annual Jammin’ Pie Fest for just these reasons and more.

Event Goals
  • Create a comfortable, encouraging, and accessible space where people from diverse life experiences can enjoy being part of the larger community
  • Reduce and prevent the sense of isolation people experience when facing life challenges
  • Foster relationships and communities where the compassion and truth of Jesus is easily accessible to those who seek it
  • Refresh spirits, increase hope, and improve coping skills so people struggle less and thrive more
